Peta Clackett - Principal
Trained in Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics.
I completed my Junior Teachers Diploma at the age of 16 and have gone on to complete my Associate and Member qualifications with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD). I have also trained and completed examinations in Royal Academy Of Dancing (RAD) and the Borovansky syllabi in classical dance. I have also completed my Certificate IV in Dance Training and Management.
Dance has always been a passion of mine and teaching dance became a natural progression. In 2007 it was only fitting for me to open Dance Avenue. Since then Dance Avenue has grown bigger and better then my wildest dreams, we now host classes to over 200 students per week and offer classes for everyone in multiple genres, we are inclusive to all and Dance Avenue is a place everyone can call home - this was my dream!
In 2024 Dance Avenue will celebrate it's eighteenth year and I endeavour to continue to lead a school where everyone can learn to dance and continue to be inspired by the joy of dance and all it brings.
